ScanJet 5300/­5370/­6300/­6350/­6390 series PrecisionScan Pro Applications and Documentation Update driver for HP Scanjet 6300cse The 1.­4.­2 release of HP Scanning Software adds all the features of the prior releases,­ including Maximum Pixel Depth option for scanning at the greatest bit depth for your scanner,­ drag and drop (using the option key) allowing the current selection area to be dragged and dropped into applications that support drag and drop,­ and a resolution tab that has been added to the preferences to allow the setting and remembering of custom resolutions.­ In addition,­ the software now supports image-only PDF as a file type.­ With this additional file type,­ scanning to e-mail with an ADF will attach to the e-mail message a single PDF file for all the pages that are scanned.­ A menu item for scanning to e-mail has been added as well as scanning to PaperPort.­ To all of these features 1.­4.­2 adds TWAIN support for the HP ScanJets on the Macintosh.­ HP PrecisionScan Pro now is a TWAIN source supporting TWAIN 1.­7.­ This release also adds the capability to scan directly to a text,­ RTF or HTML file using Readiris 6.­06.­ There is also now the ability to save and load a group of settings for the HP PrecisionScan Pro software.­ This allows the same settings to be used time after time.­ There are several other minor enhancements to the software.­ PhotoPaint has been added to the list of creator types for the images files.­ The ADF scan settings are remembered from scan to scan.­ The lamp timer mechanisms have been enhanced.­ The Preferences dialog has been enhanced.­ The help system has been updated to describe all these features.­ Several other minor defects have been fixed.­ The 1.­4.­2 release is the most recent and will be shipping with all HP ScanJets with Macintosh software.­ Owners of the HP ScanJet 5300c series,­ HP ScanJet 5370c series,­ HP ScanJet 6300c/­6350c series,­ and HP ScanJet 6390c may benefit from downloading these files and updating their software.­ Installation Instructions: Click to download the appropriate file.­ The file will install on your desktop.­ Double-click the icon on your desktop and follow the installation instructions that automatically appear.­ Be sure to read the Installation Read Me file.­ Compatible devices: C7672A
